» God is Holy

It was so good to be back in the pulpit at Briarwood yesterday. I’ve spoken at a couple of churches the week before, but there’s no place like home. Yesterday I talked about the beauty of holiness. We are to be holy because God is Holy. The word means: moral, righteous and consistent. The great thing about our God is, He is consistently God. He does not change. That means He will never act toward us in any way contrary to His character and nature. He is Good, all the time. He is Love, all the time. He is faithful, all the time. He is God, all the time. He is Holy. Furthermore He has called us to be holy. (moral, righteous and consistent) Our problem so often is we are not holy, but we are holey. God fills us and we leak. Therefore we are not consistent in our walk with Him. But if we focus on Him and spend time with Him, we will become like Him. We will change from being holey, to being Holy.

Great message Sunday Pastor. It was great to have you back. Even though Matt did a great job in your absence, you were missed.
